The first hurdle is taken and we've learned a lot about developing in Unity so it can only get better with future releases. The next steps in the process are to extend the possibilities of the Viewer and port the rest of the application to a complete Unity App. This app doesn't have all functionality as the actual viewer, but they can use Google Cardboard functionality. We also have mobile apps for the consumers who had their bathroom drawn with SaniNet to show the result at their friends and relatives. To get a feel of the atmosphere in the bathroom.Īnd of course we had to add Virtual Reality support to this viewer (both Oculus and Vive), for now just looking around the bathroom but we will add functionality to this in later releases. Create your own bathroom Smart Tile library in software with the tile editor. Increase your library with textures and 3D objects without limitation. Make your business easier with many automated features. There is also the possibility to turn on a day/night transition animation Insert easily walls, doors & windows, cabinets, columns & beams and more with our easy-to-use interface. They can also turn the lights on or off, adjust the brightness or tint. Once the bathroom is completely loaded the user has the possibility to orbit around the bathroom, walk in it or watch it from the top down. They can simply do this by pressing a button in the application and the viewer gets started and opens the bathroom.Īll walls and texture patterns for the walls are generated on load, and all 3D models get imported to populate the space. In this viewer our clients can view (hence the name ) the bathrooms they've created in SaniNet. Since Unity is new to all of us and it is quite the undertaking to port the complete application we decided to split it up and start of with an additional module next to the current SaniNet.Įarly this month we finally released the first version of our new Viewer and the first reactions of our clients were very positive. We have looked at both Unreal Engine and Unity, in the end we choose Unity. Last year we decided to make the switch to a new engine. We are a Dutch company and one of our main products is SaniNet, a 3D bathroom design application. Draw walls, windows and doors and adjust as needed. Every great kitchen project starts with a floor plan. Planner 5D was designed with amateurs in mind, making the process easy and fun.
It was my first project as a C# developer, before this i was a 3D modeller at the same company. Design your kitchen, add furniture and appliances and generate high-quality 3D renderings of your project. Probably something Unity isn't used for that often. My name is Ferry van Dijk and I want to share our product we've been working on for the last couple of months.
